A butterfly valve triple eccentric features a circular disc that rotates within the valve body to control the flow. In an eccentric disc butterfly valve, the disc rotates around an axis that is offset (eccentric) from the center of the valve body. Conversely, a concentric butterfly valve has a disc that rotates concentrically, meaning the axis of rotation aligns with the centerline of the valve body and pipe. Both types are used to regulate flow but have unique design characteristics.
